Statement
My work speaks mainly of themes and places that make up my identity, environment and history. I seek to give life and importance to what contemporary society considers insignificant, such as rurality and precariousness, giving it back its visibility and dignity, rescuing its hidden value and honoring those experiences. Issues such as gender and dissidence on the one hand, territorial memory, periphery and marginality on the other, are my main issues. Likewise, heritage rescue, ruin and oblivion are thematic axes that run through all my artistic practice.
The collection of information and the documentary record become fundamental pieces for the construction of my work. Artistic language as an underhanded denunciation allows me to make visible that critical eye of the society in which I live. Thus, through the media of photography, installation, performance, printmaking, video and artist's book, I represent and put on the table realities that do not want to be seen, showing them from the horizontality and seeking to make the reflected experiences felt in the flesh.
